A directly managed store of [Tsuruta Handmade Washi] designated as a traditional craft in Kagoshima Prefecture and [Dyed Washi Tsubaki] in Tanegashima. The store name [Shibi no Sato] is named after Tsuruta Handmade Washi, which has a workshop in Satsuma Town at the foot of Mt. Shibi. At [Tsuruta Handmade Washi], we use 100% mulberry cultivated in-house and carefully hand-make it one by one. Typical examples are autumn leaves and falling water paper.
[Dyed Japanese paper camellia] is highly evaluated for its vivid color development of its own dye, and is favored by Chigiri-e, pressed flowers, and petal art artists.
